If you're getting your kicks on Old Route 66, stop off for a refreshment at Doc's Soda Fountain. Pull up a stool at the old-fashioned soda fountain and order up breakfast, lunch, dinner, pies, ice cream, or a soda treat. Doc's has been named one of the best soda fountains in the U.S. by Country Living magazine.
Doc's Soda Fountain started out as Deck's Drug Store in 1884. The existing soda fountain was not added until 1929. Three generations of the family ran the store until Bob and Bill Deck retired in 2001. The new owners, Robert and Renae Ernst reopened Doc's in 2007, with the addition of a Pharmacy Museum, displaying items dating back to the early 1800s.
